Former Filipina nanny has received an invitation to the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on April 29, 2011.

Araceli “Lillie” Piccio, a nurse from Bacolod was the first Filipina employed by the Royal Family. Piccio was a member of Lady Diane’s household staff for eight years until Lady Di died in a car crash in Paris in 1997.

The Philippine Star columnist Ricky Lo confirmed the news through Piccio’s sister Nimfa “Buddai” Piccio. According to Buddai, her sister did receive an invitation to William and Middleton royal wedding.

She also said that the 15-year-old Prince William promised Piccio when she left, “When I get married, I will take you back.”

Piccio is still working in London but under a different employer.
