Sanchez, wearing a yellow gown with black line pattern, is the third “American Idol” contestant with Filipino blood to sing the US national anthem during a Pacquiao fight.

Meanwhile, the Philippine National Anthem “Lupang Hinirang” was performed by 14-year-old Kirby Asunto who was personally handpicked by Pacquiao.

American Idol Season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez from San Diego will sing the US National Anthem “The Star Spangled Banner” before the Manny Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley World Welterweight Championship, Saturday, June 9, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

According to report by boxing promotion company Top Rank, Sanchez will be singing before a live audience of over 16,000 fans and tens of millions of viewers worldwide watching it live on Pay-Per-View.

Meanwhile, another Filipino-American teenage singer, Kirby Asunto from New Jersey, will sing the Philippine National Anthem “Lupang Hinirang” for the fight.
