  • Deandre Brackensick was eliminated from American Idol Season 11 Top 8 on Thursday night. Together with Deandre in the bottom three were Hollie Cavanagh and Elise Testone.

On Wednesday night, Deandre sang his version of “I Like It” by Debarge. The judges loved his performance, but he still received the lowest number of votes from Idol followers.

Before the end of the show, performed Stevie Wonder’s “Master Blaster” in an effort to “save his life” as the judges still haven’t used their save for the season.

“I only get one vote,” Jennifer Lopez said. “I’m sorry, we’re not saving you tonight.” When host Ryan Seacrest asked Lopez if that meant she voted to save him and her fellow judges, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson, didn’t, she nodded sheepishly. “Yes, that’s what I mean!”

Next week, the remaining contestants will continue to the American Idol Top 7. They are: Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet, Colton Dixon, Skylar Laine, Phil Phillips, Hollie Cavanagh and Elise Testone.
