The battle between the two David’s is the most exciting season in the history of American Idol. David Archuleta wins the first round when Simon Cowell favored for him over David Cook.

In the first round, David Cook sang U2’s I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For. For his part, David Archuleta sang the Elton John anthem “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.”

Again on the second round, the judges voted for David Archuleta’s performance of In This Moment over David Cook’s Dream Big.

The last and final round David Archuleta sang his own version of John Lennon’s Imagine while David Cook performed Collective Soul’s The World I Know.

Simon Cowell told Archuleta , “You came out here tonight to win and what we have witnessed is a knockout.”

The judges voted for David Archuleta and tomorrow is the final announcement of the next American Idol. Votes are still coming. I guess it’s still David Archuleta will win the Votes. Cutest over popularity.

But if i were to ask, David Cook should win the American Idol. he’s a total performer!
