The Miss World 2012 organization has just announced the Talent and Top Model Events Finalists for this year’s competition. The special event will be held on August 10, 2012. The winner will be announced during the Miss World finals on August 18th.

Meanhile, 120 delegates compete for a slot in the Miss World Top Model Competition. 47 candidates have been been chosen as finalists for the Top Model finals to be held on August 12, 2012. They are the following:

Next special event will be held on August 1 for Miss World Beach Beauty and August 6 for Miss World Sportswomen.

The NBA‘s Houston Rockets center Yao Ming will limit his playing game to 24 minutes per game in the next season to keep the Chinese star healthy. The report came from Rockets vice president and athletic trainer Keith Jones.

Yao Ming has had an injury-marred career, missing the entire 2009-2010 season and the end of the 2009 playoffs with a foot injury. He played in 77 games in 2008-2009, but had not played more than 57 in the previous three.

“Yao is his own worst enemy,” Jones said. “He feels good and wants to go. We will be fighting him every day. I know we will. Hes going to feel good. He’s going to want to do more. Hes going to question us. Hes going to question the doctor. That’s Yao. Hes a competitor.”

Jones also added, “We’re trying to give him the best chance to play the whole season by limiting stress. Even practices, if we play on Monday and play again on Wednesday, can he practice on Tuesday? No. He’ll practice, but he won’t scrimmage.”

The Rockets open training camp on Sept. 25. They will travel to China in mid-October for two preseason games against New Jersey.

Yao Ming is currently the tallest player in the NBA, at 2.29 m (7 ft 6 in).
