Janine Tugonon from Balanga, Bataan was crowned Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2012 at the Araneta Coliseum on Sunday night.

Janine stands 5-foot-9, a BS Pharmacy Cum Laude from UST and has trained in Ballet Manila. She was last year’s Bb. Pilipinas first runner-up. She will represent the Philippines to the Miss Universe 2012 to be held in Florida, USA.

In the Q&A portion, Janina was asked: “Many women nowadays will go a happy family life or a successful career. How do you feel about this?”

Her answer: “I believe that women have the right to choose between what they want. But for me, you have to go for what God has called you to do, whatever it is, between the two. You must do what’s your purpose in this world. Just have a childlike faith and matured obedience then everything will go smooth. Thank you.”

Binibining Pilipinas 2007 Top 13 semifinalist Candidate #8 Nicole Schmitz won the Binibining Pilipinas-International, while Binibining Pilipinas-Tourism was crowned to Candidate #13 Katrina Jayne Dimaranan.

Camarines Sur beauty Elaine Kay Moll (15) and Malolos City native Annalie Forbes (29), respectively, received the first and second runner-ups titles. Check the complete list of winners here.

The Bb. Pilipinas 2012 Pageant has announced the winners on Sunday night. The show was aired live via ABS-CBN and hosted by Xian Lim, Iza Calzado, Ms. Universe Philippines 2010 Venus Raj and Georgina Wilson.

The winner of Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 2012 was crowned to candidate No. 18 Janine Tugonon from Balanga, Bataan.

Bb. Pilipinas-Tourism 2012 was crowned to candidate No. 13 Katrina Dimaranan from San Juan, Metro Manila.

Bb. Pilipinas-International 2012 was crowned to candidate No.18 Nicole Schmitz from Cebu City. She is set to graduate from Law by the end of this year in Australia.
