Filipino boxing champ Manny Pacquiao and current WBO light-welterweight champion Mexican boxer Juan Manuel Marquez might return to action as early as September this year.
ESPN reported on Friday, “He’s indicated he will fight again. Bob Arum has indicated that it would be in September,” said Fred Sternburg, spokesman for Top Rank, Arum’s promotion company.

“I think they can do it. Bob has stated it over and over. The fight did so well financially, it is a no-brainer,” Sternburg added.
Marquez’s representative Fernando Beltran told ESPN that the Mexican champion is willing to fight again for the fifth time.
“Logically, we will find what’s most lucrative for him, in order to be an important fight,” Beltran said. “Juan Manuel Marquez and myself are gentlemen and we know that Pacquiao gave us an opportunity, and he didn’t have to, and most probably we will give it to him.”
Meanwhile, Pacquiao said he’s willing to have a fight with Marquez in September. He will return to the Philippines on January 14 from Israel and will start the training for Pacquiao vs Marquez 5.
