My Philippine Travel Destination This Summer

One of my biggest dreams is to travel around the world, but hey can’t you imagine that there are good places to visit the Philippines?

This summer of 2008 i have traveled to different towns of Laguna. From the famous Exotic Restaurant located in Longos, Kalayaan Highway, the Vigan style town of Pila – Pila Municipal Center infront of an old church, the majestic Liliw Church and many more. I’ve been to Laguna many times and it was my first time to appreciate each town and it’s product. For instance, Liliw – famous for handmade slippers and Paete – famous in wood curvings.

Aside from Laguna, i also traveled all the way to Ilocos Norte. Travel time was 9-10 hours. First destination – Pagudpud. How to get there? Check this out.

After Pagudpud, i had the chance to visit Windmills of Bangui, Laoag City and the great tourist destination of Ilocos Sur’s Crisologo St. in Vigan.

My summer escapades for 2008 started early from February and will end not so late on June 2008. I will be in Davao on May 12-14 and Boracay on June 18-21.

    You’re right. You don’t have to travel around the world to see beautiful places. Here in the Philippines, you can see lots of beautiful places that our country have.

    Many many years ago (80 years hehehe), our travel destination has always been Europe. Being in the East Coast, it’s cheaper to fly to Europe than spend a weekend in the West Coast of the USA. So, Europe it is and there’s no doubt maganda talaga ang Europe. When the Euro started getting stronger, I saw our dollars na halos wala nang mabili, so we started frequenting Toronto and Montreal. 10 hours drive lang naman from Philadelphia. Then blogging exploded. I already knew that Philippines was really beautiful, kaso mo puro bad news sa mga travellers ang nababasa namen and none of the funny, exciting at maganda stuff. Hence, sometime in the early 90’s, I invited some of my American classmates to try out the Philippines and our first stop was Palawan. That was amazing ever talaga. Since then, lahat na nang vacation ko has always been in las islas Filipinas dahil it’s really beautiful here. Nakakatulong ka pa when you spend money here dahil dagdag din yan sa local economy di ba? So, I don’t know about you, but Batanes and Caramoan looks very nice to me hehehe!

    Kuya, you should put up a travel blog na. hehehe. ganda ng windmill. I’ve been to bora recently. Try mo kuya to visit romblon dmi beaches mgganda dun. Malay mo magkita tau then ilibre mo ako. Hehehe.

    nakarating na ko dyan sa pagudpud, pero sa vigan di ba pa :( nakarating na ko sa boracay pero sa davao di pa :( inggit din ako, wahhhh
