Chocolate Hills on the 9th place and the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park on the 10th place. Boto na tayo mga kababayan!

As of this writing, our very own Tubbataha Reef of Palawan is currently on the 29th place in the ongoing worldwide search for the New Seven Wonders of Nature.
I’ve noticed that only few bloggers wrote a campaign for this. The campaign is not as popular like Ramielle Malubay of American Idol, but the reason why i am writing this is to ask your support as Proud Filipinos around the world.
Lester Cavestany wrote a very interesting article entitled, 7 Reasons Why We Need To Vote. He said, “it’s about time to put Philippines back on the international tourist map”. According to Joanjoyce, Tubbataha Reef declared as World Heritage Site by the UNESCO since 1993.
Pinoy Bloggers let’s do it again. Write this campaign and cast your vote now. Click Here to Register and Vote. By the way, you can also vote for Mayon Volcano and Chocolate Hills currently on the 119th and 49th spot.
Voting of nominees is until December 31, 2008 and panel of judges will then select the 21 finalists. The 21 finalists will be posted on their website in 2009 and the finalist will have another round of voting. Winners of the New Seven Wonders of Nature will be announced on 2010.
There are many cheap hotels in famous holiday destinations. Even car rental can be arranged easily. However getting flights in short time can be a problem. As a last minute travel you will fare better with a rare spot and stay at a travel lodge.

My friends who are divers go to Tubbataha each year to dive for a week. My best friend has swum with the dolphins there!

you’re last paragraph is rather confusing. you said vote for the nominees and then the judges will select the finalists. don’t you mean the 21 finalist will be those who will have the top 21 votes?

I wonder what the total time it would take to fly from the states would be. Looks like a great place for vaction but sounds like i would be flying for a day to get thier. Anyone ever make 2 vacations go half way to another place then a few days later go to philippines.
