Manila Ocean Park Visit

First i would like to invite you to have a peek in my latest entry at Ambothology (my photoblog) – ihip ng hangin.
It seems that Manila Ocean Park is getting more popular from people all over the country. This is first in the Philippines and “claimed” as the biggest in Asia. When it was announced, Filipino people can’t wait to see this newly built tourist attraction located at the back of Luneta Grandstand. It’s an opportunity for families instead of visiting Hongkong and Singapore.
Last month I was invited to visit Manila Ocean Park. I am very excited to come and see how it looks like.
I have no complains to long file of people waiting to get their tickets, but I observed there’s only one cashier serving to hundreds of people on the line.
Air-conditions are not enough to supply hundreds of people. It’s really hot! We stayed for two hours inside the park, but actually if you try to walk from the very start to end, it will only take you 30 minutes. And because there’s a lot of people looking at the aquariums and taking photos, you need to wait for your turn.
Going to the second floor is a chance to see Manila Bay at the back of the building. One thing I noticed was a bunch of garbage floating at the bay area.
I hope the management of Manila Ocean Park would give attention on this. If not, “nakakahiya naman sa mga turistang bumibisita dito.”
I understand Manila Ocean Park isn’t finish with the overall construction of the building, but given a chance to rate Manila Ocean park from 1-10, I would give them as low as 5 points.

i haven’t visited Manila Ocean Park. i actually want to see it and compare it to both Underwater World in Singapore and Aquarium in Malaysia.

Aquaria pala yung nasa Malaysia. hehe. typo na naman ako. Anyway, baka naman mag-improve pa yang Manila Ocean Park kapag kumpleto na yung construction. sana lang hindi maging Manila Zoo yan na maganda dati tapos napabayaan.
hahanap nga ako ng time para makapunta sa Ocean Park. mas maganda siguro kung weekdays noh? para wala mashadong tao.

Yup, it’s kindda overrated for me. Hopefully they’d improve in the next few months, specially that I’m sure they’ll be packed by the holiday season.

Anyway, for now, I think the only way na makakabalik ako ng MOP ay kung may manlilibre sa akin. Wahehehe.

Di rin namin nagustuhan nung pumunta kami. Haba ng pila for tickets tas ini-expect ko mahaba ung aquarium. Parang 10 minutes lang pala pd mo na makita lahat.
