Nayong Pilipino is officially named the Bagong Nayong Pilipino Manila Bay Integrated City. This project is the biggest project ever by the third biggest revenue-generating state-owned entity Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR).
The Bagong Nayong Pilipino Manila Bay Integrated City project is estimated to cost between $10 billion and $20 billion and will be developed in three phases.
First phase involves the construction of hotels, theme parks and casinos. Projects under the phase one will be completed over the next two years. It would be more the next tourist spot in the Philippines after the construction of Manila Ocean Park.

It will be a combined tourism area in the country offering a wide array of international grade facilities amenities such as luxury hotels, convention stores, state of the art theaters, sports stadiums, restaurants, shopping centers, cultural complexes and museums. Amusement parks and an Observation Tower will be among the tallest structures of its kind in the world.
The second and third phases includes the development of other tourism hubs in the country such as Clark in Pampanga and Cebu in the Visayas.
The Bagong Nayong Pilipino Manila Bay Integrated City is expected to generate not only an income in our economy, but an employment to our locals. Upon the completion, there are about 250,000 jobs waiting to fill up in various positions.
The Bagong Nayong Pilipino Manila Bay Integrated City is the answer to the Entertainment Industry in the country? If possible, to be known as one of the biggest entertainment industry in Asia which is now monopolized by Singapore, Macau, Thailand, Korea and Malaysia?
Is this a good news or a bad news?

This is good news Ambo. We should have more infra projects like this as we are severely lagging behind our Asian neighbors in terms of development, and everything else for that matter.

This is a good project of the government, especially of PAGCOR. However, we should safeguard the actual process against political vultures. This is a serious matter that we should have to take a look into, for involves billions of people’s money.

I found your post through a search. Hope you don’t mind me commenting…
Anyhow, I’ve been hearing a lot about this Bagong Nayong Pilipino Integrated City, and the plans are quite awesome and unbelievable. Like, you, I had the same reaction—I didn’t know whether the whole news was good or bad. I was unsettled and without an opinion over it.
I heard though that the plans for this Integrated City are in full swing though. So, it looks like that in a few years time, we Filipinos will really see something through. Naiisip ko lang, pwede sana yung pera na ginamit para sa budget ilagay sa funds katulad ng education or agriculture and health… but maybe I’m too much of a humanist. The Philippines needs investors and its economy to boom. So I’m just crossing my fingers that the vision behind this whole grand plan is rooted in social responsibility more than anything else.

@Lady, Thank you for leaving your comment. Let’s just hope that this project would be one of the successful and not a waste like other previous projects. Hope to hear from you again. Thanks.
