The identities of the much awaited Survivor Philippines have been revealed and it’s time to watch them on Philippine Television. Pinoy Survivor or Survivor Philippines will premier on September 15, 2008 on Kapuso Channel GMA 7.
From the original 16 castaways, GMA 7 preferred to make it 18 to be part of the show. It’s approved by the owners of Survivor - Castaway Television. The 18 castaways together with 120 crew members went to Ko Tarutao Island in Satun Province, Thailand to start the challenge of their lives. Survivor is more than just a reality show. More than just the physical looks. It requires strength, power and determination to survive.
The team is divided into two called the Naak which means snake and Jarakay for crocodile in Thai Language.

Living in an island called the Devil’s Island is more challenging to all the contestants. They will spend 39 days in the island and will be facing the challenge in the real world. Both contestants and the production team will encounter the seen and unseen. Exciting right?
According to the production team, during the shoot of the show - snakes, crocodiles, scorpions, tarantulas and wild boars were just some of the few animals that lurk in the island ready to strike at the unguarded tribe member at the most opportune time. Then there were also the ghost sightings, spirits of the ancient island inhabitants who visit the tribes at night.
Survivor Philippines was filmed in Ko Tarutao, Satun Province, Thailand for 39 days. Hosted by Paolo Bediones and premieres September 15, 2008 on GMA 7.

I just stumble upon this article…maybe to make it really more interesting naman…do the survivor philippines series to a country na malamig, thats how we can see kung talagang kaya nilang magsurvive in a totaly different country. Thailand is just like Pinas, yakang yaka ng Pinoy yan. Just a suggestion lang naman
