Black Suede Video

The 30-year old man from Cebu was shocked when he learned that his rectum operation at Vicente Sotto Hospital Cebu is circulating in Youtube. The video was named Black Suede Scandal.

It all happened last December 31, 2007 in Cebu when the man had casual sex with a stranger who offered P100.00 in return. The man said he was drunk and brought the stranger home - had sexual intercourse with him. They had a second intercourse and by this time using a Black Suede Spray cologne found inside his room. He said no then he fell asleep.

When he woke up he learned the man left his house already. He started to get scared when he remembered what the man last told him and when he could no longer find his body spray because he felt something painful inside his body. Even more painful when he tried to urinate.

On January 2, 2008 he went to his family and he was brought to the hospital. The doctors said they found a foreign object in his body that requires an operation. The following day before the operation, he complained that there were too many people inside the operating room, but his complain was a bit late because the anesthesia was already administered in his body.

He thought his shameful experience ended up. Two weeks after, he went back to the hospital for a copy of his medical records and the doctor disclosed that they video taped the whole operation. He was asked for a copy, but he said no and begged the doctor to keep it confidential instead.

Two months after, he was surprised when a concerned citizen in the neighborhood showed him the video of his operation. Though his face was not seen on the video, it was clear that his Right to Privacy was violated because some his friends knew it was him. What’s your stand on this issue?

It’s indeed a violation of his privacy. Talk about professional ethics, akala ko rin nasa palengke ‘yong members of the health team ang iingay at nagtatawanan pa during the procedure. And that operating room was surely crowded, lahat yata ng employees ng hospital was inside the OR that time. A legal action needs to be taken against the people responsible for this. And i surely hope they burn to hell!

nag-init ang ulo ko dun ah. kung nasa pilipinas ako nai-report ko na ito sa media, i think dapat mapagsabihan ang mga “professionals” na ito, dapat tanggalan sila ng mga lisensya, dapat bang gawing “freak show” ang operation na yon? that was too much! kahihiyan sila sa mga Filipino!

    Ambo,

Talagang nakakahiya ang pangyayaring yan kasi it’s a total violation of medical ethics. Doctors/health workers are not supposed to divulge any information about their patients kahit anong mangyari.

What they did is really way off the line for respecting others, professionalism and ethics as Doctors and staffs of Medicine/ of that hospital or any hospital to speak of.

It really pissed me off..specially listening to their laughter while the poor patient was in anesthesia..totally defend less.

That man even paid something for his operation,he suffered enough and some BS even posted that video over the net.

That video is not just one, there’s a lot of them been taking photos of the patient. And they been laughing while watching someone in his misery and misfortune.. that’s really rude.

How i wish this sort of thing will be discussed in schools too and that the those who’s guilty of the deed will be reprimanded, suspended or banned accordingly.

If I were the patient..I will move heaven and earth to hunt and make these people pay for what they did. Maybe I will try giving them their own dose of medicine.

If I were the doctor..I will surely not allowed such to happen, but if things already happened I will not allow a repeat of such mistake again..I will not allowed any mobile phone, camera or video inside the operating room specially with that kind of operation. I will also asked or ordered others to delete any photo or video of such if they have a copy of it. Respect should be given at all times, even if patient is aware of it or not.

@Fitz: Ha ha ha. Natakot sa Black Suede!

@itots: Hindi naman. Kaya nga lang, recent events concerning the BLack Suede scandal somehow made me thinks that there are some “unqualified” products of our med schools.
