Joey Mead painted body has become a hot issue as shown on TV today. According to some experts, the painted body of Joey Mead with the Philippine National Flag was disgusting and shouldn’t be considered an art.
They claimed, the so-called art violated the Philippine Flag Law. But according to the law, wearing of the Philippine Flag in the form of any woven material is not accepted.
Rouge Magazine claimed that the photo material wasn’t intended to disrespect the Philippine Flag, but it’s a form of expressing art. The model’s wearing nothing, but a pure paint.
Art nga ba ito? Binastos nga ba ang bandila natin?

Seriously, I find nothing wrong with it. As to the flag law, kelan ba naman tayo naging magaling na implementors of our laws? At bakit si Pacquiao may Phil Flag na jacket pero walang nagreklamo?

I find nothing wrong with it. masyado lang tayo sensitive pagdating sa mga ganyang bagay, gaya ng sinabi ni monaco, bakit si pacman may jacket pero walang nagreklamo

I’ve seen lot’s of photo’s (from other country) mostly females, sometimes not painted but tatooed in their naked body. Well for me as a modern Filipino I’ll call this an ART. Why??? Because the Photo shot was in perfect angle. There’s no malice. “violated the Philippine Flag Law” and “Disrespect???” No! Corrupt Goverment officials THEY ARE DISGUSTING!!! Do we have public magazine for most CGO??? I will call this also an Art. Cheers!

worst is that most of our government official are into graft & corruption and yet they are proud to be seen on TV, Print etc.. obvious namang magnanakaw. These people somehow represents our image as Filipinos, disgusting!!! ang kakapal ng mukha!! pinapatay na ninyo si juan.

Si Ambo kasi, na display yang katawan na yan, este, art na yan. Sa tingin ko ha, mejo okay nga yung angle ng pagkakuha, este, ok lang naman yung picture. I think its the politicians who are just making an issue out of it. They need some publicities so pati ito, tinira na rin. Kung yung mga babes kaya nila gawan din ng ganyan. Ok rin.

If we are talking about law, siguro nga may violation dahil nakasaad sa batas kung ano ang hindi dapat gawin sa bandilang Pilipino. If we are talking about art, siguro din this could be considered an art form dahil may damdamin din siyang ipinahahayag. Ngayon kung saan mo siya titingnan, kung may malisya o may pagka makabayan, doon na lang siguro magkakaiba ang mga opinyon. Si Battista nga di ba meron din siyang Philippine flag na naka tattoo braso niya pero walang negative reaction, proud na proud pa nga yung iba e. Sa palagay ko alanganin lang talaga tayo kung magiging conservative ba o free wheeling ang takbo ng isip nating mga Pilipino pagdating sa mga issues na tulad nito.

corny talaga sa pinas ano? basta ang flag dapat pang wagayway lang. flag lang ganun. dito sa alemanya, they could display their country’s colors kahit asan, ngayong may EM fussball, lahat halos ng kotse may flags, balita ko e dyan sa pinas bawal daw maglagay ng flags sa kotse. heniway, medyo dapat na nilang i update yung rules about displaying the flag at medyo OA na ang dating.

C manny pacquiao dala ang flag kase karangalan ang bigay at dala nya!!! Eh c joey mead? kung ktwn lng nya ung ipaparada para pg pyestahan ng mga mata ng kalalakihan wag na idamay pa ung flag natin, kya tyo nababastos ng ibang country dahil din sa kagagawan ng ibang pilipino, isipin nyo naman ung malalim na kahulugan ng flag natin diba? Kalayaan, Kapayapaan, at sana balng araw Kaunlaran. Hope for the best nalang tyo sa country un ang dapat at di kung ano-ano pang kabastusan.
