What is OFW Electron Card?

The OFW Electron Card (E-Card) is an ID card used by Overseas Filipino Workers in dealing with various government and private agencies locally and abroad. The OFW Electron Card is issued by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the Philippines Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) are the following agencies connected to DOLE.

Where to get OFW Electron Card?
The OFW Electron Card is given Free of Charge to all qualified OFW’s. All land-based workers who secure their OEC at the following offices are issued an E-card.

* POEA Head Office
* POEA Regional Office in Cebu City
* OWWA Head Office
* Singapore
* U.A.E. (Abu Dhabi & Dubai)

What are the benefits of OFW Electron card?
Several benefits may be derived upon activation of the E-card at all Equitable banking institutions:

* The OFW Electron Card serves as proof that cardholder is a legitimate Overseas Filipino Worker and an OWWA member.
* It gives a permanent ID card number that will link OFW’s information necessary in dealing with various government and private agencies.
* It also facilitates availment of OWWA benefits and services.
* And can be used as a remittance card and ATM or a debit card at the option of the OFW.
