According to Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella, Robredo was greeted by the members of the cabinet during the first formal meeting she attended. He described the important meeting “a very warm situation.”
On Thursday, July 7, Duterte offered Robredo a Cabinet post, specifically the position of chairperson of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC).
