Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach got the chance to meet Broadway Star Lea Salonga in New York City on Saturday, January 9, 2016.
After watching “Allegiance,” a musical which stars Lea Salonga, Pia Wurtzbach was able to meet and greet Salonga and the whole cast of the show.
According to OPMB, Pia and Lea were able to have some time together, and that they hugged each other.
“Lea was the first one to come out and she immediately hugged and kissed Pia. She congratulated her for what she has achieved and gave her advice on how to enjoy living here in the Big Apple.”
Pia posted their photo on Miss Universe Instagram account with caption:
“Finally watched Allegiance last night! Starring Ms Lea Salonga, who is also Filipina. Superb performance from the whole cast. I had tears in my eyes by the end of the show. #?-Pia,” the caption of the photo read.
