President Rodrigo Duterte and Vice President Leni Robredo finally meet for the first time, day after their separate inaugurations at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City.
On Friday, July 1, the two highest elected officials of the land meet at the change of command ceremony of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
“Vice President Leni Robredo, this is my first time to meet you personally. I would have preferred to be seated beside you but nandyan si (Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana),” Duterte told Robredo during his speech.
Duterte and Robredo held separate inagurations on Thursday, June 30, a first in Philippine history.
