Photo of Leila De Lima and a certain Roldan Castro went viral after bashers of the lady senator shared it on social media this week. Netizens erroneously identified Castro as Ronnie Palisoc Dayan, the driver and alleged lover of Del Lima.
On Friday, a certain Castro took to Instagram to clear his name about the issue.
“I was surprised and couldn’t stop laughing when I woke up. I didn’t know that my photo with Senator De Lima during a press conference with the movie press was already circulating online,” he wrote.
Castro said he had been alerted by friends about his “trending” photo.
“People thought I was her driver. My gosh. If only they knew that I don’t even know how to drive because I easily get nervous. I cannot even leave the house without a driver hahaha”
Castro is a former president of the Philippine Movie Press Club and a columnist for the tabloid Hataw.
