Philippines largest Mayon Volcano may cause hazardous explosion within this week. It may be tomorrow or during Christmas time. This is the latest report from Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
As of 7am today, Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology has recorded more than a thousand of volcanic earthquakes. Since last week, the authorities has warned people living within the 6-kilometer to 8-kilometer danger zones to evacuate the area. It should be free from any human activity.

According to the Chief of Philvolcs, they already observed 66 ash explosions during times of good visibility as the volcano has been covered by thick clouds since Monday. The explosions produced grayish to light brown ash columns that went as high as 100 meters to 1 kilometer above the crater summit.
Let’s continue to warn people that big explosion may happen within the Christmas season.
