Rodrigo Duterte is still the top choice for president despite his controversial rape remarks over the weekend.
In a latest result of Pulse Asia Pulso ng Bayan nationwide survey conducted from April 16 to 20, Duterte maintained his top position in presidential bid.
Duterte is the top choice in Metro Manila with 40%, he got 32% in the Visayas and in Mindanao with 58%, overall 35 percent of respondents in favor of the mayor from Davao City.
Meanwhile, Senator Grace Poe is second with a voter preference of 23%, while former interior secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas and Vice President Jejomar Binay tied in third place with 17% and 16%, respectively.
Only 2 percent wanted Sen. Meriam Defensor Santiago to win as president.
