President Noynoy Aquino declared Monday, August 20, a regular holiday in the Philippines in observance of the Feast of Ramadan, Eid’l Fitr.

“The President today signed Proc. No. 455 declaring Monday, August 20, 2012 as a regular holiday throughout the country in observance of Eid’l Fitr,” Presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said via Twitter on Monday.

Meanwhile, August 21, Tuesday, has already been declared a special non-working holiday at the start of the year, for the Ninoy Aquino day. The Monday that follows, August 27, has as well been declared a regular holiday for the Heroes Day.
