Twilight the movie starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart made a whopping $69,637,740 over the weekend, the fourth-highest opening of 2008 at the box office. The story is based on Stephenie Meyer’s novel. Twilight is the first of the four series of the book. Plans have been made for a sequel very soon – New Moon.
By the way i have watched Twilight on the first day of it’s showing in Manila. Obviously, as a non-follower of the book, i find it a little boring. My apologies to all the fans, but i know the story is a bit different from the book to a movie.
When i first saw the trailer of Twilight, i thought i’ts something like another version of Interview with the Vampire. I was pretty excited to see the movie as i am expecting a horrifying and thrilling scenes. Unfortunately, it’s a low-budget romance based story. Don’t expect too much because the story is about a forbidden love between a school hottie vampire Edward played by the Harry Potter star Robert Pattinson and the 17-year old Bella played by Kristen Stewart.
In the beginning of the movie, it’s very obvious to distinguish humans and the vampires. Funny, but i was reminded by the modern Adams Family when a group of vampires came out. They look different. Their skins are pale and their lips are red. Their face are obviously powdered (ang puputi parang nag Chinhansu ba yun? lols).
Honestly, there are other interesting facts you’ll find out when you watch Twilight. They are not the typical vampires who live in coffins and caves. They live in a modern mansion and they all have the gadgets and luxury cars! I laughed when Bela ask their bed, Edward said, they don’t sleep! They are not the typical vampires who sleep during the day!
About the stunts, it was fairly done. Though it’s not the Crouching Tiger type, but it’s definitely amusing. No other exciting fight scenes between the bad and good vampires except on the last part.
Twilight the movie is not bad at all and given the chance to rate the movie, i am giving 3 stars out of 5.

I love Twilight. I’ve seen the movie from the first day of showing. It gets better when you watched it multiple times. But I’m biased coz I’ve read the book and from the saga, Twilight is my favorite. So I would give it 4 out of 5 rating.
Grabe! hindi ko pa napanood ang movie na ito but I’ve heard na maganda daw kaya I will surely watch it.
i watched it last Friday, and I have to agree, nabasa mo man o hinde ang book, you’ll be disappointed.

I watched Twilight last Friday. I haven’t read the book yet but my friend said that this is the case where the film is better than the book. Pang-teenybopper at pang-kilig to the bones ang pelikula. Tipong gusto mong magka-loveteam ng bampira para makaakyat ka sa mataas na puno at makita ang mundo ng bird’s eye view.
Sana mapanood ko pa sa sinehan’tong Twilight. Sana palabas pa dyan pagdating ko. Dito kasi, paalis na ako kapag ipapalabas.
I still don’t understand why people flock into theaters because of some vampire stories.

havent watched the movie yet but a couple of friends of mine said that the movie’s really boring. but i am gonna watch it still, to see for myself how terrible the movie is. haha.
The cinematic experience in the UK is nothing compared to Manila. This is why I rarely see a movie here. I haven’t even seen James Bond yet! I have read mixed reviews about this film, but to be honest, I am not inclined to see it.

@itot, Sus. I rave about Manila’s cinemas noh! Prices are cheap (well, more reasonable than developed countries) and we can have the best movie refreshments. Manila also gets to screen American films/movies earlier than the UK!

dahil natural naman akong vampire, di ko sempre papalagpasin ito. kahit pa ang sabi-sabi ay isa itong chick flick. di lang chick flick, pang tweens pa.
ok naman ang plot. pero disappointed ako. kasi dahil romance yung theme, imagine a girl falling in love (unconditionaly) sa isang vampire, i e expect mo eh mala-impakto yung love story, na parang mai inlove ka din na ala Romeo and Juliet or Somewhere in Time man lang.
lugi. mas ok pa yung Dracula ni Keannu Reeves at Wynona. pa-cool din ang film pero walang sinabi sa Underworld.

So far, so far lang talaga kasi sa SM Pampanga ko pa ito pinanuod hahahaha. Hinihintay ko yan underworld na yan, maganda ba? hehehe. Wag mong ikwento sapakin kita hahaha.

I realized I have been too busy lately I even forgot to do the only thing I love to do aside from blogging, bar-hopping, billiards, sleeping, working – watching a movie. LOL
