The Miss Universe Organization has officially announced that the 65th Miss Universe beauty pageant will be held in the Philippines on January 30, 2016 at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay, Metro Manila.
In a report by CNN Philippines, the grand coronation will start at 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. (Manila time). All local television networks would be able to broadcast the pageant upon the request of President Rodrigo Duterte.
This is the third time the Philippines will host the Miss Universe pageant. The first was in 1974 and second in 1994.
The Philippines had three Miss Universe title holder. Gloria Diaz in 1969, Margie Moran in 1973 and Pia Wurtzbach in 2015.
