Mybloglog to Shut Down on January 2010

Mybloglog will soon close down next month (January 2010) according to Yahoo reports. Mybloglog is a networking tool popular among bloggers and other social networking users. It’s an interesting widget that commonly placed at the sidebar of many other blogs. Visitors leave their face prints on the widget when someone visit other blogs.
This is Yahoo statement regarding Mybloglog close down :
Frankly, it’s no secret within Yahoo! that we’re actively discussing the future of MyBlogLog. However, it’s also true that we have not made any final decisions at this point. Is a shutdown on the table? Sure, that’s an option. But there are other options as well. We know this creates some uncertainty for current MyBlogLog users. While we aren’t quite ready to share more details, we promise to keep you posted.

Well, this is bad news since Mybloglog has been one of the first social communities I joined before. In fact, I met my first ever foreign blogger friend through their site and we are still keeping in touch.
But anyway, I think I am expecting this with the rise of Facebook and Twitter. I will not also be surprised if other similar sites will be closed too sooner or later.
