Healthy Kidney for Sale. RUSH!

Kidney for Sale. RUSH! Hello. I am a 34 year old male from Manila, Philippines (ASIA). I am selling one of my kidneys to pay for a medical and financial debt. I am a non-smoker, non-drinker. I am NOT into drugs. Im a clean living lifestyle person. Healthy, no operations in the past, no medical condition. Blood type AB+.

THIS IS NOT A JOKE OR SCAM. NEED SERIOUS PEOPLE FOR THIS.

Selling kidneys in the Philippines are very rampant not as kidney donors, but as Kidney Sellers. Filipinos in desperate communities are the common people who patronize this activity. Allegedly, the increasing number of kidney sellers caught the attention of the authorities in the country. The rate’s ranging from Php50,000-120,000 each. The story may sound interesting, but it’s actually an unhealthy decision.

This year, in a recent study of the University of the Philippines, there were 3,000 men and women who had sold their kidneys. Which was found in a slum area in Metro Manila.

Let me share with you this story :

Marlene Maico was only two years old at the time. Then she fell sick. Very sick – with several diseases at the same time. Her life could only be saved if she was treated properly at a hospital.

But I had no money, says the father, 31-year-old Satur Maico. The family lived in a shanty in Bagong Lupa, a large slum area close to the harbor in Manila, the capital city of the Philippines.

Garbage and sewage are floating below the shanties. There is visible damage after a typhoon hit a few months earlier, in which many of the families lost their homes. For many people it is a depressing life. There is no work. At least not every day. And when they get something to do, residents say, pay is a meager 3 to 6 dollars.

In this neighborhood a desparate Maico helplessly watched his daughter on the brink of death. Finally he chose what he considered to be his only alternative: He accepted that one of his two kidneys was removed from the body and transplanted into a man who was willing to pay.

I received 70.000 pesos for my kidney. That is the smallest amount anyone has been paid in this area. But I was desperate and did not have much to negotiate with.

Thus the daughter, who now is six years old, was admitted to hospital. The father could afford the 15.000 pesos fee. And she survived.

Today a long scar at the right side of his body bear witness of Maico’s sacrifice for his daughter. And at least 150 other men have the same scar in this slum area.

Poverty is one of the major problems of selling kidneys in our country. That includes lack of knowledge. If the government would disseminate right information to the people and teach the people how to value their organs, this would at least lessen the increasing number of Filipinos who are selling kidneys.

How can you help the government solve this problem? Are you willing to sell or donate your kidneys?

    Eli,

It’s true. Sometimes mahirap husgahan ang ilang tao. Sakripisyo man, this is much better than doing evil.

    Hi Thess,

According to DOH, “there is nothing illegal in donating kidneys especially if coursed through the government or for as long as it is not being commercialized. If it is for sale, then it is illegal.” They also launched a program called “Buhay Mo, Karugtong Ng Buhay Ko” spearheaded by the National Kidney and Transplant Institute. It’s already up and running.

  12. AMBO says:

    Mommy Beng,

  13. AMBO says:

    Lord,

If i am the recipient, you failed to meet my expectations. lols.

  14. AMBO says:

    Monaco,

One problem on this issue i think is the growing number of recruiters. They find, not donors but sellers of kidneys.

  15. Thess says:

I also saw this from a local news, about kidney selling in our country. They said this will be ‘legalized’ by a special organization to minimize the after effect (they fall ill themselves) it usually bring to a donor, and to make sure they get the fair price for it. Also said that this will be done via hospitals that are taking part. I just don’t know if this is already implemented.

If it’s the last resort and my kidney is still okay, I will donate it. I also want them to harvest my organs and put them into good use once I’m gone.

Hi Ambo. Have a good weekend!

  16. Beng says:

How about you? Are you going to sell your kidney or donate it to your family?

Donate to a family member yes. But never na ibibinta ko to para lang makaahon sandali sa kahirapan. Pero hanga ako sa ginawa ni Satur Maico, ibininta niya kidney niya to save the life of his daughter.

Top purchaser is U.S kasunod ang Europe.

    Mas masaklap di ba?

If ever I would, I don’t think it would pass the standards of a prospective buyer. I am a smoker, a drinker, and junkfood junkie, hehehe pwede ba yon?

sadly, this is another face of present-day philippine society. people driven to extreme, selling body parts just to make ends meet. I do not support this though. I think the authorities should crack down on this just like other illegal trades.
