Adil Memon, 18, was the first eliminated contestant on X Factor Australia Season 4 Tuesday night, September 18. During face-off round, Memon sang ‘Just The Way You Are’ while Samantha Page performed ‘I Can’t Live (If Living Is Without You’.

Guy Sebastian, Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Ronan Keating voted for Semon while Mel B. sent home Page.

Memon fought back tears and had to be comforted by Mel B after his elimination. “It has been the best time of my life,” he said.

Judge Natalie Bassingthwaite told Memon he had star quality, but still sent him home.

Bassingthwaite praised Jade for her “flawless vocals”.

Judge Ronan Keating sealed Memon’s fate by nominating him to go home. “I’ve got to go with my gut,” Keating said.
