Sam Mangubat is the latest contestant to enter the fourth and final quarter of It’s Showtime’s singing competition “Tawag Ng Tanghalan.” He successfully defended his title on Thursday, November 24, 2016.
The Youtube sensation from Laguna performed his own rendition of Robbie William’s “Angels” which earned him 93.4 percent.

Mangubat beat the 18-year-old daily winner Ricca Casipong from Cagayan De Oro, who also impressed the judges with her heartfelt rendition of Sarah Geronimo’s “How Could You Say You Love Me.”
He will return on Friday to continue his reign as the defending champion of “Tawag Ng Tanghalan.”
