Last night, the 19-year-old contestant from Wollongong, New South Wales, stunned the audience and judges of the competition with his amazing version of ‘Hold Back The River’ by James Bay. After his performance, judge James Blunt said, “No wonder they left you last, you ruined the stage”.

Cyrus is becoming one of the fans’ favourite contenders this season. His cover of mentor Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game,” which he sang during last week’s live show, already reached the top spot on X Factor Australia Season 7 iTunes chart, as well as iTunes Australia’s top 100 songs.

Next week, Cyrus will be back on the show for another exciting live performance with the rest of the remaining contestants.
