Craig Wayne Boyd Named Winner of The Voice Season 7 (2014)





Craig Wayne Boyd was crowned the new winner of NBC’s television singing competition ‘The Voice’. The announcement was revealed on Tuesday in a star-studded season finale that featured performances by Mark Ronson, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Jennifer Hudson, Hozier and rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Craig beat out rivals Matt McAndrew, Damien Lawson and Chris Jamison to win the seventh season of the television singing contest after a series of stunning vocal performances last night.

Craig hit all his marks on Monday night’s performance finale, with his own version of “In Pictures” by Alabama, a duet with his coach Blake Shelton “Boots On” by Randy Houser and his original song called “My Baby’s Got a Smile on Her Face.”

Team Adam’s three finalists Matt McAndrew, Chris Jamison and Damien Lawson placed second, third and fourth respectively.

The Voice Season 8 will return on NBC beginning in early 2015 with Pharrell Williams, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera.
