Latonio did not impress the four judges of the show when she performed her version of “Stand Up For Love” by Destiny’s Child, Tuesday night, March 5.
Judge Randy Jackson said her performance was safe and boring. “I’m a little worried that wasn’t the best song choice for you,” said Keith Urban, which was much nicer than the way Nicki Minaj put it.
“After Angie, Amber, and Kree, I would just say that you work a little bit and come back next year,” she told the youngest singer of the show from Alaska. “I think the song was too big for you.”
Last month, two Fil-Americans were also cut during the Top 40 of the competition. Jett Hermano from Seattle and Bryant Tadeo from Hawaii.
Next week, two contestants of the Top 20 who received the highest votes will sing-off including (hopefully) Adriana Latonio.
Meanwhile, here is the list of the Top 10 singers of American Idol this season: Paul Jolley, Burnell Taylor, Curtis Finch, Devin Velez, Lazaro Arbos, Janelle Arthur, Candice Glover, Angie Miller, Amber Holcomb and Kree Harrison.
