Phillip Phillips, 21, from Leesburg, Georgia sang his own rendition of “Beggin” by Madcon on American Idol 2012 Top 3 Performance Show on Thursday, May 16 episode.

According to the judges:

Randy Jackson: We were just at a Phil Phillips concert right there.

Jennifer Lopez: You catch a groove in a song and you ride that all the way home.

Steven Tyler: It’s so beautiful to see you unfold here.
