Warner Bros TV released the first photo from the NBC pilot, which shows actress Adrianne Palicki covered up more than Lynda Carter’s costume from the 1970s.

The modern Wonder Woman wears a skin-tight blue latex pants and silver bracelets. White stars from the costume are removed while the original red and white stripes boots changed to a pair of blue boots.

The changes in costume is stirring up some controversy, that the outfit lacks patriotism. The issue was defended by a spokesperson for the heroine’s creator, DC Comics;

“The latest evolution of Wonder Woman’s iconic costume is a central part of the latest comic book storyline. All of the classic symbols – patriotic (stars, eagle) and heroic (lasso, bracelets) – are ever-present.”
