Australia took second place while Russia won the public vote but lost in the jury vote and could only come in third place. Bulgaria and Sweden rounded out the top five.

Jamala’s heartbreaking song “1944” about the mass deportation of Tatars under Josef Stalin, earned her first place with 534 points, forcing Dami Im’s “Sound of Silence” for Australia and Sergey Lazarev’s “You Are The Only One” to take home the title with 511 and 491 points respectively.
