Mother Monster Lady Gaga announced that her performances set for February 13-14 in Chicago, Feb. 16 in Detroit and Feb. 17 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, have been postponed.

The American pop singer explained via Twitter that she’s suffering from synovitis, or severe inflammation of joints, and she is postponing the four shows under doctor’s orders.

“I’ve been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the past month it has worsened,’ Gaga announced in a series of tweets sent out Tuesday. “I’ve been praying it would heal. I hid it from my staff, I didn’t want to disappoint my amazing fans. However after last night’s performance I could not walk and still can’t.

“To the fans in Chicago, Detroit & Hamilton, I hope you can forgive me, as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself. Im devasted & sad. It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and Im sorry.”

Makeup dates for the missed shows will be announced later.
