Maksim Chmerkovskiy Quits ‘Dancing With The Stars’ To Pursue Other Projects

Maksim Chmerkovskiy is officially leaving “Dancing with the Stars”, according to TMZ. The Ukranian Latin ballroom dancer said he would exit the dancing competition at the end of this year.


But Chmerkovskiy told producers this week that he will not be returning for the upcoming season of the show as planned. He’s pursuing other TV and movie projects.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s days of sequin unitards are OVER … ’cause TMZ has learned the Bad Boy of the Ballroom is officially leaving “Dancing with the Stars.”

Sources close to the production tell us … Maksim spoke with producers a few days ago and informed them that he wouldn’t be returning for the upcoming season.

Chmerkovskiy first appeared in Dancing With The Stars Season 2. In his twelve appearances on the show, has made it to the final round four times, with two runner-up and two third place finishes.
