Singer-songwriter Kitchie Nadal, whose real name is Anna Katrina, married her Spanish boyfriend, an NGO worker Carlos Lopez, at Hacienda Isabella in Tagaytay on February 26.
The autumn-themed Christian wedding ceremony was attended by their close friends, relatives and families.
According to Nina Sandejas, a close friend of Nadal, the singer wore a P799 dress of her choice to the wedding. Saying that Nadal merely chose the gown from a mall boutique in Makati, “The story about her dress floored everyone and this should show all brides around the world that sometimes it’s about the woman and not the dress.”
She also added that the couple decided not to spend too much on the wedding, “At the party, everyone pitched in their contributions to the decorations,” she said. “Artist friends helped out with the floral arrangements and even painted ‘Carlos and Anna’ on a banner in the early afternoon that even the groom helped set up.”
