Rose ‘Osang’ Fostanes, a 46-year-old caregiver originally from Taguig City, Philippines, received a standing ovation after performing at the X Factor Israel on Saturday, October 26.
“God knows that we are helping our families and they do not know how we sacrifice. Maybe if I join and win in this competition my life will change,” Rose Fostanes said during a video presented before her audition.
Fostanes lives in small house in Tel Aviv with three friends who are also caregivers. ”I’m still single because I’ve been working for how many years, and I forgot to find somebody for me,” added Fostanes.
Osang received a standing ovation after singing Shirley Bassey’s “This Is My Life.” She received four yeses from the judges and the audience.
“Rose, take it in because you deserve it so much,” Judge Ivri Lider said adding, “The song you chose is so right for you.”
“It was wonderful. No words. You have the X factor,” Rami Fortis said.
“It sounded like it is a CD. It is perfect. I just can’t believe it’s your first time to perform on stage,” judge Shiri Maimon said.
