Charice Pempengco’s duet with Celine Dion at the Madison Square Garden in New York made the whole country proud. Her recent guesting at the Oprah Winfrey Show, Celine Dion showed up on big screen and promised to meet and perform a duet number with her.
A dream come true for Charice and to the Philippines Music Industry as well. Charice once again wowed the audience in her performance. In fact, the humbled Celine Dion give way to Charice in her rendition of Because You Love Me. Amazing duet indeed!
Charice was one of the winners of Little Big Star, a singing contest sponsored by ABS-CBN in the Philippines. Winning the third place last 2005 competition made herself the future singing sensation superstar of the Philippines.
She’s first noticed by Ellen De Geneneres and invited to be in her show last year. Then came The Paul O’Grady Show in United Kingdom and Winfrey Oprah Show in the US. Charice also performed with Alicia Keys, Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Andrea Bocelli, Babyface in a concert tribute to songwriter David Foster called David Foster and Friends last May 23 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

Note the audience reactions, not just standing ovation, they are standing listening to Charice sing. This talented young Pinoy has gone a long way.
