The first ever winner of “Asia’s Next Top Model” has been named during the finale aired Sunday.
Jessica Amornkuldilok, 27 years old, from Thailand won the coveted title. She beat two other finalists, Stephanie Retuya of the Philippines and Kate Ma of Taiwan.
According to the head judge and host of the show, Nadya Hutagalung, “Jessica has the potential to take the modeling world by storm. She has a natural presence on camera and is able to show her personality on the runway. Her drive and ability to let down her guard is what gave her the edge.”
Jessica won five best photos and four challenges, while Ma won two best photos. Stephanie did well in the TV commercial but had a difficult time with the magazine shoot. She was in the bottom two five times and never won any best photo. She was only a runner-up once.
Jessica, 23, is a part-time model and a full-time mother to a baby girl. She only started modeling about a year ago.
The winner won an opportunity to be the face of Canon IXUS 2013 campaign, a cover feature with Harper’s Bazaar magazine, a Subaru XV, a modeling contract with Storm Model Management in UK and Europe and a S$100,000 cash prize.
