This year’s Blog Action Day is about Poverty. One of the biggest problems that we encounter not only in the Philippines, but in the whole world. Poverty is a very complex issue. Not a problem to be solved by one.

As a blogger, i slowly understand the power of blogging. I clearly define our motives in writing. The power of writing an entry is like a word of mouth. Communicable indeed! In fact, i have written several articles with regards to helping other individuals, community and institution achieve their goals and needs. I consider those as personal achievement.

And as part of my humble beginnings, i encourage you to join Blog Action Day 2008 Poverty to help alleviate poverty in the world. Perhaps not a solution, but our little charity works would be something big as a whole. Let’s help.

One Hour of Total Darkness on March 29, 2008

Pinoy Ambisyoso is joining the One Hour Campaign on March 29, 2008 from 8pm to 9pm. The campaign’s called 60 Earth Hour.

“Earth Hour, run by WWF, the conservation organization, is a global climate change initiative which calls on individuals and businesses around the world, to turn off their lights for one hour on Saturday March 29 2008 between 8 pm and 9pm.

The aim of the campaign is to express that individual action on a mass scale can help change our planet for the better.

The event itself will clearly demonstrate in participating cities, the connection between energy usage and climate change, showing that we as broader community can address the biggest threat our planet has ever faced.”
