This man at the age of 27 was busy ironing his clothes while there was a man taking his medicine beside him, his father. An early morning ritual before going to his office. The man was surprised because his father told him that he’s a medicine for his heart. Yes, he consulted a doctor and the latter said that his heart was enlarged. The usual regimen of his father’s chewing a clove of garlic to reduce high blood pressure.
In the office, the phone rang and he heard the voice of her crying mother. His father collapsed and was brought to nearby hospital. The man was in shocked while running in tears.
When he reached the hospital, he found his father inside the Intensive Care Unit. He was lying in bed. Immobilized and almost dead. He cried, quietly.
In his childhood, he almost hated his father. He thought he was not a good provider. He could remember their fights, days where his father became alcoholic and nights where his father going home drunk.
One day he wished his father’s death. He can’t take the feelings of pain. He felt sorry for it.
