How To Cook Tikoy



How to cook Tikoy? Hi there I am your Cooking Mastah Ambo! Since it’s Chinese New Year today, I am going to teach you how to cook Tikoy! By the way, do you know what Tikoy is? Tikoy’s known as Chinese New Year Pudding. It’s made up of rice flour, water, and sugar.

We may not celebrate Chinese New Year festively, but we still enjoy by watching fireworks and dancing dragon on streets. Now let’s enjoy cooking Tikoy!

Simple and very easy!

The Ingredients.
2 ½ cup sweet rice flour
1 ¾ cup water
1 cup sugar

1. All you have to do is to simply mix all the 3 ingredients until it become smooth.
2. Then pour it into a cloth-lined bamboo steamer for 30-60 minutes or as desired.
3. Let it cool and cover it with plastic then store in the fridge. That’s it!

I tell you it’s really easy! You can do it now and make as many as you want! Remember, giving Tikoy as a gift is lucky to the giver!

Oh befoh i fogat, the best way to cook Tikoy is mix it with egg before you fry it. Yes ebun, etlug! hehehe.

Have had tried (hard) to write in french but my grammar capacity is weak “arayyy” in English as well! In fact written french is ! My food blog “lousy though” have been for a break since year ago, have to accomplished some personnal matter and be back as soon as i may.

      anak ng tikoy, sabi ng nanay ko malabsak daw ung niluto ko, pero maari na pagtyagaan.
      adjust ko ingredients neks taym, importante laam ko na magluto non.

      ayos naman pala, medyo malata kc nong bagong luto pero nong lumamig ok naman.
      kulang kc ung 1 and 3/4 cups of water kaya i added 2 more 3/4 cups to moisten the flour well.
      ok ang timpla..sobrang malagkit..tikoy nga talaga.
