Black Money Scam Now in the Philippines



Black money scam which is also known as the ‘wash wash scam’. It is a scam where someone attempts to fraudulently obtain money from a victim by persuading him or her that piles of banknote-sized paper in a trunk or a safe is really money which has been dyed black. The victim is persuaded to pay for chemicals to wash the “money” with a promise that he will share in the proceeds.

The scam of new kind victimizing people all over the world and now operating in the Philippines. GMA News report says,

The modus operandi: they show bundles of stained black papers which were supposedly authentic dollar bills. To remove the stain, they say they use a special chemical. They will demonstrate the process of removing the stain to the victim and the real dollar bill will appear!


When they lure the victim, they will start asking for money in exchange for the special chemical. And needless to say, as soon as they get the money, they immediately run away!

If you are familiar with this operation, report immediately to authorities. Don’t be fooled!

    mahirap talaga maging biktima ng black money scam. so, be always careful in dealing with foreigners, specially with the nigerians, blacks, africans or anybody looks like one. report immediately to authorities( NBI,Police,XXX) when somebody befriends you and showing you these black money and extorts you dollars for the chemical that to be used, according to scammers, in cleaning out the black money.

    i believe that if its too good to be true, it probably is. same with this scam. there are a lot of reasons why you should not believe this, yet people still fall for it because of greed. hay.
