One of the newest tourist destinations in the Philippines is finally open for public. I am sure everyone is excited to visit the place. It was last rumored to open last December, but the construction has just finished. And now Manila Ocean Park will have it’s soft launching on February 24, 2008.
Manila Ocean Park is the first world-class marine park with a magnificent architectural design. It’s a P1-billion project of Singaporean and Malaysian investors and owned by China Oceanis Philippines Inc., a subsidiary of China Oceanis Inc., a Singaporean-registered firm that has operated four oceanariums in China.
The oceanarium journey is divided into several sections carrying Filipino names: Agos (Flow) section is rainforest-themed with eight tanks containing freshwater species; Bahura (Reef) section would contain artificial corals in 48 tanks, complete with their scientific and common names, and their ecosystem roles; Laot (Fishing Ground) would feature big fish and Eagle-spotted rays in a long tank; and Kalaliman (Deep) section will sport a school of barracudas a large tank.
The main attraction of the oceanarium is a 25-meter long walkway tunnel with 220-degree curved acrylic walls, which will give patrons a better viewing experience.
What makes me really excited about this new project is not the Oceanarium alone, but because of the mall and hotel are also included in the park.
MOP would be the the most advanced ocean parks in Asia, even larger than Singapore’s Sentosa Oceanarium. It is located at the back of Quirino Grandstand. It is open from 10Am to 6Pm. Ticket for Adults is Php400.00 and Php350.00 for children.

Joan, tagal na nga nito laging delay. pero ngayon confirmed na. I called their office and finally open na. Oceanarium muna ang bukas, later na ang mall and hotel. Congrats nga pala, first page ang post mo about manila ocean park. Keep up! :wink:

di ako pwede tumoma dito pa ko sa bahay ng boss ko e bukas pa ko gabi uwi..dun sa tito ko ayun lagi ako binabagsakan ng bote ng beer o kaya wine lol!! pero dito nakuuu labas lang ako ng room ko may sariling bar at billiard yung amo ko grabeh kadami alak lalaki mata mo sa dami ng alak tapos labas ka may hot tub…waaahhh sarap ng buhay ko sana kapag wala mga amo ko ano…umiinom ng alak sa may hot tub habang napapalibutan ng yelo lol!!!

nagulat ako sa bagong theme mo. hehehe! pag nag-open yang park na yan eh pupuntahan agad namin ni misis. sana lang di ganong mahal ang entrance fee. hehehe! ang lagay eh mas sinipat pa yung entrance fee kesa pamasahe from Laoag-Manila.

That looks really nice. I’m planning a trip to the area. I wasn’t going to stop in the Philippines, but I’m going to have to check this out. Php400 is incredibly reasonable, too.
