Few Tips to Start Your Own Blog

Domain name is really important as it will represent your own name, something that people can easily remember. It represents who you are and what are you blogging about. Avoid lengthy names, use .com instead of .net .us and many others. Remember dot com is the most popular in the internet and be popular is a great start! Avoid using hyphens or dashes. Do not play with your chosen domain. Make it simple.
Choosing your web host will determine the extent and capacity of your blog will be able to achieve. As a novice blogger, you assume that blogs are generally text bounded that do not eat much of the space. Anyhow, the bandwidth you use multiplies as your traffic increases.
Your web hosting choice is a lot easier by asking some of the bloggers that you know. Ask their experience. Search online for tips and spend more time on forums.
