A raid on his house in Ayala Alabang Village, Muntinlupa, authorities finally caught Mark Verzo who allegedly owned the controversial website boybastos.com. The young man said the website was only for entertainment.

When i visited the site, it was already offline and a short notice read as,
Mga mahal naming boys bastos, masyado po tumaas ang traffic ng site dahil sa libreng publicity na binigay satin ni Senadora, GMA News, at iba pang mga istasyson ng radyo. Dahil dito, baka ma-kansela ang account natin sa ating hosting provider at lalo nang magkandaloko-loko. Pahinga muna tayo mga kaibigan.Maraming site dyan na pwede nyo bisitahin, alam nyo naman na siguro yun. Babalik po tayo (online) paglipas ng ilang araw.
Sen. Loren Legarda said “the website boybastos.com provides Internet users, including minors, free and unrestricted access to the largest online accumulation of “extremely” hardcore pornographic materials of Filipino women and girls. This is by far the filthiest Internet site we’ve come across that offers open and unlimited access to some of the most obscene videos and photographs of Filipino women and girls.”
Who is Mark Venzo by the way?
He is also a full-time blogger at his early twenties. A product of Dela Salle University with a degree in BS Computer Science and living in one of the most exclusive villages in southern part of Manila, Ayala Alabang. Mark Said,
I don’t have a job. I make a living from Internet ads (AdSense, AdBrite, etc.), so this might be the gist of my blog’s content. In 2006 one of my sites reached the Top 100 Philippine Sites in Alexa’s rating. I will keep that site secret from this blog (might be referring to boybastos.com) because God might see that I created that site and it might cost me my ticket to paradise.

In the Philippines, Sen. Loren Legarda is the author of Senate Bill 1375, the proposed Anti-Computer Pornography Act, which seeks to reinforce the war on electronic smut. Under the bill, peddlers of online porn and other indecent materials would be penalized with up to six years in prison or a fine of as much as P500,000, or both.
The bill also provides that it would be illegal for any remote computer facility operator, electronic service provider or electronic bulletin board service provider to knowingly transmit, offer or attempt to send any communication that contains indecent material, to a person under 18 years of age.
But in his statement, Verzo said he violated no law “Freedom of expression lang ang lahat.”
By the way, i saw the site’s gallery, it really contains pornographic photos, videos, etc. It’s true, boybastos.com is really Boy Bastos. Ikaw, anong masasabi mo? Bastos nga ba si Boy Bastos?

To me: the issue is Loren Legarda’s orders to arrest him. That was wrong. That was very martial law! How could a senators orders effect an arrest?
I’d be very interested how our dumb senators define what pornography is. Have you read the Senate Bill? It’s very general they have no clue what the hell they’re writing!

Ambisyosa, malayo ba ang 2010! Pwede ba..karamihan sa pinoy alang internat at computer. Pagtounan mo na nya ng pansin ang sumusunod:
1. CPP/NPA websites
2. abusayaf websites/vidoes recruiting young pinoys

i think this is a case of freedom of expression being subjected by hypocrites. we all watch porn, men love porn. scientifically, biologically and health-wise, porn helps men. and in most cases, even women.
aguy was right, bibihira ang me ineternet na pinoy. pwede ba nyang ipasara yung mga sites na off-shore pero X Pinays ang content?
problema lang dito, na i wasn’t really sure of, is kung walang mga disclaimers yung site ni boybastos na bawal ang bata, yun me liability sya. kaso mo, alam naman nating lahat na kahit pa me disclaimers ekek ang mga pornsites, pwede mo namang ibahin edad mo di ba?
so pinaka-best pa rin, lahat ng pc owners na alam nilang me access sa bata, i-on nila yung kanilang parental controls.
