Basic HTML Codes Could Help You in Blogging

Learning HTML or HyperText Markup Language is one of the essential ingredients in blogging. Most bloggers who have no knowledge even in Basic HTML find it difficult in tweaking their blogs. Parts of your blog like the images, headers, colors and fonts is easy to manipulate if you have basic understanding in HTML. HTML could help in SEO too!

The problem is – most bloggers find it difficult and too technical for them. In reality, it’s not actually technical. It’s simply a different language to learn.

For example, if you want to learn German, you read, write and speak in German. You talk to people who can speak the same language. Good thing is, HTML language don’t need your mouth to speak out loud. HTML is based on tags so you need to learn it. I am sure you know how to copy and paste? It could be a great solution because most of the HTML codes use the copy and paste technique. Oh by the way, shortcut for Copy is Ctrl+C, for Paste Ctrl+V, for Select All is Ctrl+A and for Cut is Ctrl+X.

According to Wikipedia, HTML provides a means to describe the structure of text-based information in a document — by denoting certain text as links, headings, paragraphs, lists, and so on — and to supplement that text with interactive forms, embedded images, and other objects. HTML is written in the form of tags.

In my case, i am very familiar with HTML Codes, but i don’t have any formal education in any computer course. Long ago, i found website designing an interesting thing to learn. During office breaks, i read HTML online and see them in action. This is one of the most important thing that helped me a lot in designing and arranging my blog.

Actually, there are many sites that offers free tutorial in learning Basic HTML like www.w3schools.com. They offer free lessons in HTML. I highly recommend you to visit them since they won’t charge you any. But if you’re really eager to learn extensive knowledge in HTML, best thing to do is find the best computer school for you.

Lastly, you can visit the nearest bookstore in your area and look for an HTML book. You can try HTML for Dummies. It will cost you around 10-20 bucks for that book.

I will be posting Basic HTML Guides on the next post and for the meantime, please do visit w3schools.com for Free HTML Lessons.

I hope you find this post interesting. Thanks and Happy Blogging!

Good post. Learning some simple html is a very good idea. At work, when I show people how to blog for our company I always start them with looking at the simple html code. I think it helps when you understand a little about html, even if you can get by without it.
