Okay let me tell you few good tips when deciding your web hosting provider.
You might have questions in mind that sounds like this - how do i know a friendly, cheaper and reliable web host provider? Ask around whether friends or colleagues their opinions on a web host. You can make a list of questions and have them answer you back. List them down and select the best answers that fits your requirements. Then trim down your list and choose the top three best answers.
Second tip is to ask directly your chosen web host. Check their responses if they meet your expectations. You may not actually need to do this, but opinion of others may vary in different ways.
Third tip is to check online reviews of your web host. Good example is http://webhostinggeeks.com. This site will give important answers on your questions with your chosen provider. Check them out and you’ll find the best web hosting provider this year 2008. Make a comparison and decide which one is best for you.

@Ambo - nice point you have there Ambo. Ako, I plan to review nga our local hosting in the future. Dami kasing nagwe-webhost pero konti lang ang reliable. Kaya ako, I’m so glad I’m with my local webhost kasi 99.9% ang uptime, smooth sailing ;)

by the way, do anyone from you here can help how to work on domain transfer? gusto ko na kasing magpalit ng domain provider ko, wala lang, personal reasons. ;)

@Snow, madali naman mag transfer kasi yung new host mo naman ang gagawa non.. pero ang propagation ang mejo matagal nga 24 to 48 hrs yun kita ka na ng lahat ulit :)

I have no affiliation with these people other than leasing several servers from them. I own a web design shop and have used a lot of different hosting companies…these guys are the best. MediaTemple.com
Check it out. Their basic servers have a one click install for wordpress as well.

@itot, parang mas ok pa nga ata yung bumili ka lang ng domain muna. pag sikatchupoy na site mo at madai nang bwisitots tulad ni ambo, saka ka na lang magpa host.
pero check mo rin yung listahan. kasi madami ka ring domains eh. baka mas makamura ka pa.

I’m not satisfied with my webhost. Lately kasi laging down ang server for 30 minutes to 2 hours. Nakakainis pa, hindi lahat sa kanila, marunong sa technical problems, kaya dusa ka kapag nakasagot sa ticket mo walang alam haha! kaya I’m moving to a new host before the year ends.
