Manila Ocean Park Visit

First i would like to invite you to have a peek in my latest entry at Ambothology (my photoblog) - ihip ng hangin.

It seems that Manila Ocean Park is getting more popular from people all over the country. This is first in the Philippines and “claimed” as the biggest in Asia. When it was announced, Filipino people can’t wait to see this newly built tourist attraction located at the back of Luneta Grandstand. It’s an opportunity for families instead of visiting Hongkong and Singapore.

Last month I was invited to visit Manila Ocean Park. I am very excited to come and see how it looks like.

I have no complains to long file of people waiting to get their tickets, but I observed there’s only one cashier serving to hundreds of people on the line.

Our Davao City Trip Photos

Our Davao City Trip experience was really an awesome adventure and fun. It’s truly a memorable time to treasure and won’t be possible without the generosity of our beloved queen Reyna Elena.

Reynz as we call the Queen paid all our trip to the City of Royalties, Davao City. Reynz, Malen and I left Manila last May 12, 2008. We were accommodated by our loving and sweet Mommy Beng in her humbled home in the city.

Davao City is one of the best places to visit in the Philippines. According to My Davao City “Its most known symbols are Mount Apo (the highest peak in the Philippines), the exotic wild orchid Waling-waling, and the Philippine Eagle (also known as the Monkey-Eating Eagle). The city is also well-known for being one of the most peaceful and safe cities in the country.”

First Day : Pearl Farm Beach Resort.

Pinay Domestic Helpers in Jordan

Isang nakakaantig na dokumentaryo ang ipinalabas ng ABS-CBN kagabi ang Runaways : Human Trafficking in Jordan. The documentary showed the current situation of our Pinay Domestic Helpers working in Jordan.

Pinay Beauties

5 Pinay beautifuls are in Guangxi, China to represent the Philippines in the 3rd Asia Supermodel Contest to be held from May 16 to 25.

The five Pinay beautifuls who will compete in the said model search are young actress Rhian Ramos from GMA Network; Bb. Pilipinas 2007 1st runner-up Abigail Cruz; StarStruck graduates Arci Muñoz and Rhea Nakpil, and newcomer Steph Henares. Steph is the daughter of Artist Center head Ida Henares and the first cousin of Rhian.

The Asia Supermodel Contest is sponsored by the Chinese Fashion Association, Guangxi TV station, in cooperation with China Bentley Culture Development Company.

The five Philippine representatives will model the creations of fashion designer Ramon Sabella. They’ll be competing with models from China, Japan, Korea, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam. Each of these countries will also send five models—all expenses paid.

Steph Henares said she and the other four girls were chosen by the Chinese Fashion Association to represent the Philippines. The selection process was done through photos sent to the organizers of the contest. From these photos, the Chinese Fashion Association made their choices.

As for Abigail Cruz, she is keeping her fingers crossed that their team will win in China. “I’m celebrating my 24th birthday on May 30 and we’ll be back here in time for it. My birthday wish is for us to bring honors to the country.”

The Asian Super Models Contest aims to promote Asia’s top models and to help organize the Asian Model Economic Alliance.

Goodluck to our Pinay Beautifuls!
